Abstract (EN)
With the effect of change and development in the field of technology, the concept of digital hospitals has come to the fore in recent years. This study was carried out to examine the relationship between the technostress levels of nurses and doctors working in a hospital that is in the process of transitioning to a digital hospital and their attitudes toward change. This descriptive study was conducted with 120 nurses and doctors working in a public hospital in Ankara between November and December 2022. "Descriptive Information Form", "Attitude Scale to Change" and "Techno-Stress Scale at Workplace" were used in the research. Descriptive Statistical Analysis, independent groups t-test, Kruskal Wallis Test, Pearson correlation analysis, and forward regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. In this study, it was determined that the techno-stress levels of nurses and doctors in the workplace were above the average (Mean±SD=2.79±0.65), and their attitudes towards change were below the average (Mean±SD=3.30±0.63). It was determined that 72.5% of the nurses and doctors did not receive any training for the digital hospital. As a result of Pearson Correlation analysis, it was determined that there is a negative, high, and statistically significant relationship between nurses' and doctors' attitudes toward change and techno-stress levels at work (r= -0.522, p<0.001). Forward regression analysis was conducted regarding the prediction of techno-stress level by the sub-dimensions of the attitude towards change scale, and as a result; It was determined that the sub-dimensions of institutional policy, resistance to change, management style in change, and the results of change predicted the workplace techno-stress levels of nurses and doctors by 47%. As a result of this study, it was found that the stress levels of nurses and doctors towards technology in the workplace were above average, and their attitudes toward change were negative. It has been determined that there is a negative relationship between the stress experienced against technology in the workplace and change, and the change affects the technological stress experienced by nurses and doctors in the workplace by 47%. This study has important results on the stress experienced in the digitalization process in health institutions. Especially in the digitalization process of hospitals, it is recommended to plan training for healthcare workers on the subject to reduce the stress on the success of change and technology.
