Abstract (EN)
Folk beliefs, which are the cultural identity of societies, appear with many practices and forms of belief. Some beliefs and practices, which gain a different dimension over time with the influence of old customs and beliefs, may not always coincide with the phenomenon of religion, which is one of the social norms. These new practices, which have gained a superstitious dimension, have turned into superstitions accepted by the general public and have made the difference between the authentic and invisible. There is no clear statement in the Qur'an about these superstitions, which are the continuation of old habits. Things that are shirk or evoke shirk, which are clearly stated to be rejected by Allah in the Qur'an, are accepted as the source of superstitions in terms of religion. Superstitions; It is based on the emergence of old beliefs and practices by embodying cultural forms. Although most of the superstitions have a theological dimension, it is seen that most of them are based on superstitious beliefs and practices. All of the thoughts and beliefs that are contrary to the belief of tawhid, which are contrary to the principles that constitute the essence of Islam, can be evaluated in this context. The superstitions inherited from the past found a wide base in Ottoman society. Superstitions, which continue to exist as an important part of social life, have not escaped the attention of divan poets. Divan poets, who construct the texture of their poems on the cultural codes of the society they live in, frequently included superstitions in their works. The aim of our research is to show the place of superstitions in divan poetry, the way they are reflected in divan poetry, and their focal points.
