An analysis and contextual transcription of the Divan of Mehmet Nâzım

The aim of this thesis is to reveal Divançe of Mehmed Nâzım, one of the divan poets of the 19th century. In this context; the copies of Divançe of Mehmed Nâzım located at the library of the University of Toronto with number PL 248 N3395 A17 and at the Library of Marmara University Faculty of Theology with number 15571 were translated into Latin alphabet with transcription. The text of Divançe was also translated into modern Turkish language.The poems in the Divançe were examined by considering the accumulation of Divan poetry and the poet's point of view and the findings were presented under sub-titles.
