The analysis of self-sufficiency level of elementary school teachers in Diyarbakir and the communication problems they live

The purpose of this study is, to make the analysis of self-sufficiency level of elementary school teachers in Diyarbakir and the communication problems they live.The elementary school teachers working in Diyarbakır province forms the general population of the study. 300 teachers working in Diyarbakır province while the academic year of 2009-2010 take place in the sample of the study. Mathematical mean, frequency, percentage, t-test, Levene test, ANOVA variance analysis were performed while the analysis of data. The following results were achieved as the result of performed analysis:The effective communication self-sufficiency perceptions of female teachers working in Diyarbakır province were found meaningfully high comparing with the effective communication self-sufficiency perceptions of male teachers working in the same province. Considering the program development dimension, the effective communication self-sufficiency perceptions of male teachers were found high comparing with the effective communication self-sufficiency perceptions of female teachers.The self-sufficiency level of post-graduated teachers was found high comparing with the self-sufficiency level of teachers who have associate degree, regarding their perceptions of class management. And also, the self-sufficiency level of post-graduated teachers was found high comparing with the self-sufficiency level of teachers who have associate degree, regarding their professional sufficiency.When the communication problems of the teachers participated in the study is analyzed, it is realized that the principal problems are having the teachers worked at different works besides their own positions and not being responded positively of teachers? requesting for leave and medical visit. The problems of teachers? not having willingness to work at commission works required to be founded in the school besides the desk training and require responsibility and the teachers? not being open for development and change are considered as negligible. It was found that there is a meaningful difference between the perceptions of male and female teachers regarding their communication problems. When we analyze the source of difference, it was realized that the male participants think they have much more problems than the females. It was understood that the individuals have 1-5 years of seniority think they have much more problems comparing the individuals 15-20 years of seniority regarding the relation of manager-teacher. Similarly, the individuals have 15-20 years of seniority think they have much more problems comparing the individuals 5-10 years of seniority regarding the communication problems. The result was achieved that the teachers who have associate degree have the thought that their problems of manage-teacher are higher than the problems of the post-graduated teachers.Key Words: Self-sufficiency, Communication Problems, Elementary School Education, Teacher.
