Abstract (EN)

Globalization is closely related to world economies. It causes great effects in the financial dimension that the fact of the exchange rate is one of the important macroeconomic indicators in terms of international markets depending on the speed of movement it exhibits over time. The current situation of these movements on the asset portfolio spreads globally in many areas. Volatility, which is the focus of attention of financial markets and contains many macro-economic optional elements, has examined the relationship between dollarization and exchange rate in Turkey for the period 2012:12 - 2019:12 in this study. The empirical results state that the E-GARCH (2,1) model developed by Nilson (1991) is the most appropriate model and dollarization is the Granger cause of the exchange rate. The results of Tse-CC test statistics found in residues with the help of VAR and Multivariate Fixed Conditional Correlation models (CCC-GARCH) and after the rejection of serial correlation according to ARCH-LM test support that there is a constant relationship between dollarization and dollar rate.
