Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to investigate the factors that influence the love and habit of reading among students of a 2nd year classroom located in a low socio-economic environment. The study adopted semi-structured interviews and observations to gather the data. Later, the data analyzed via descriptive analysis methods. The participants of the study are the twenty second-grade students who enrolled a school where the socio-economic level is very low. The study has two main stages. In the first stage, the teacher gathered information through her observations and interviewed students. In the second phase, the interviews conducted with students' parents. Both groups of interviews were recorded. Later, the records were transcribed and analyzed. According to the results, the main factors influencing the love and habit of reading were the existence of role models, the educational level of parensts, preschool education, early reading experiences and interaction with others based on reading experiences.
