Abstract (EN)

The issue of orientalism that we have dealt with in this study is a manifestation and form of the East-West conflict that has existed from the Antiquity to the present day, and it is an important issue that many Islamic scholars engage in. One of the subjects that Mevdûdî, one of the most important scholars and commentators of our century, in his exegesis of the Qur'an and its various works is the accusations of the orientalists and orientalists that we have dealt with in the study of Islam and Islam. In this respect, it is important to study Mawdudi's views and suggestions on this issue. The aim of this study is to examine and reject the views of Mevdûdî on the claims of the Qur'an by the Orientalists, as well as the political, social and cultural structure of the period in which he lived. In our study, the conceptual framework of orientalism, its historical course, orientalism in the Indian subcontinent and the claims of the orientalists about the Qur'an are discussed.
