Abstract (EN)
Today, developments in the world have led to some changes in the management of organizations. Businesses are becoming more and more employee-oriented day by day and are working towards this. One of the most important employee-oriented practices is the performance appraisal system. Performance appraisal systems help to understand both the performance of employees and their wants and needs. The aim of this study is to develop recommendations to guide both organizations and employees on the effects of performance appraisal practices on employee's motivation and career management by using in-depth interviews and semi-structured method, which is a qualitative research method. Within the scope of the research, an interview form was prepared for managers. In this study, 16 participants were interviewed about the effects of the performance appraisal system on employee motivation and career management. As a result of the research, it was observed that performance appraisal practices have positive effects on employee motivation and career management.
