Elazig's deputies and political activities (1987-2002)

In this study, Elazig deputies who served in the parliament between 1987 and 2002 are discussed. First of all, the historical and geographical features of Elazig were expressed. Elazig's social, economic, and political situation between 1987-2002 was emphasized.The thesis study covers the XVIII-XIX-XX-XXI periods of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The biographies and parliamentary works of 13 deputies who served in these periods were examined. In the study, the deputies are listed chronologically according to the period they were elected. Information such as birth dates and places, family status, foreign languages, educational status, and professions are included.The interest of the deputies in the problems of the city and the country and the solutions they produced are included in the thesis. The works of the deputies and how the political preferences of the people of Elazig are shaped have also been tried to reveal which political parties the people tend to. It has been determined whether the deputies have caused any change throughout the country and the city. Thus, the role of deputies in developing the country and the city has been revealed.
