Abstract (EN)

The aim of the current study was to examine and track the poetry and poets of one of the important Arab tribes in the both Umayyad and Abbasid eras, namely Bani Taghlib tribe. Moreover, the poets of this tribe had an important and prominent role in the Umayyad and Abbasid literature. It is well known that Arabic poetry had great importance in Arabic literature in its various eras, and the Taghlib tribe is one of the famous Arab tribes with a long history and has men who had a great role in the wars of ignorance, and it has poets no less important than the men who defend it in wars. Here, this is what drew our attention to the research and investigation of the poets of this tribe and the knowledge of their poems, lives, the features and topics of their poetry and what is related to their own tribe, especially in the Umayyad and Abbasid eras, which were not addressed independently. Therefore, we discussed the poets of the Taghlib tribe and presented its most prominent poets and poetic themes of praise, irony, pride, lament, spinning and description regarding the most important of them like Al-Akhtal, Abu Firas Al-Hamdani, Aasha Bani Taghlib, Kaab Ibn Juayl and others whom we will mention and review in this study.
