Most of the mothers who participated in the study were between the ages of 25-30 (33.8%), secondary and high school graduates (37.5%), housewives (87.5%), married for 2 years (38.8%), and her husband's high school graduates (55%) and workers (42.5%). Most of the mothers wanted their pregnancy (87.5%), gave normal birth (65%), all mothers received breastfeeding training in the hospital, this training was beneficial for breastfeeding (62.5%), and started breastfeeding in the first half hour after birth (47.5%), they were considering breastfeeding for two years and stated that the breastfeeding training they received from ASM was beneficial (92.5%). When the results of the analysis of the differences between the data before and after breastfeeding training were examined, it was found that infant feeding attitude, breastfeeding self-efficacy perception and breastfeeding motivation sub-dimensions had statistically significant and positive differences compared to pre-training (p <0.05). It was found that these results of the study supported the hypotheses of the study and that breastfeeding training given in the first week of the postpartum period was effective in increasing infant feeding attitude, breastfeeding self-efficacy perception and breastfeeding motivation.
