The expectations of the enterprises and students in the employement of the grad students from industrial vocational schools

So as to a stable economical growth and increasing the rivalry power of a country, it is required to give importance to the vocational technical education which educates the man power that has knowledge, ability and qualifications. The importance is given to the vocational technical instutions is going to decrease the needs of the employers? to the qualified staff. The modernization of the vocational technical education instutions which aim to meet a need of the interval staff of the market will contribute building up the balance between man-power and employment.There has been some problems and expectations of not only the managers of the enterprises but also the students who work in those enterprises as graduate students from industrial vocational high schools. In the name of the sollutions of the problems, it is required to determine the mutual expectations. The basic aim of our research is to reveal all these expectations.The releated subjects have been determined while being started to the research. The notion of vocational technical education, the importance of the vocational education, the modals of the vocational education, the vocational education both in our country and also all around the world, education-employment association have been investigated. As a result of the literature scanning, the grad student and manager?s expectations oriented questionnaire questions have been prepared and applied.The universe of the research is composed of the students who graduted from the industial vocational high schools in the city of İstanbul and the counties of Pendik, Kartal and Maltepe and also the managers of the enterprises where those students work in.280 students graduated from the industrial vocational high schools in the city of İstanbul and the counties of Pendik, Kartal, Maltepe and 100 managers of the enterprises where those students work in, have composed of this research etalonnage.The analysis of the questionnaires? applied on the subjects have been done on SPSS 13.0 statistic program and related results have been obtained concerning to the expectations.According to the obtained results , it is seen that; the grad students have a demand of working in a place where is so sensible about job security and social assurance, a place where they can guarantee their lives, can reveal their abilities and to get education which will provide them the vocational development.According to the obtained results from the manager subjects, they expect the working grad students to know much about the computer programmes about their fields and to improve their vocational knowledge. Furthermore, it is seen that the managers find so positive of the working grad students?s attitudes and manners to both their coworkers and also to their chieves.
