Enuresis ,is the behavior of involuntary urinary incontinence at the age of bladdercontrol that must be acquired. The most of children who get their bed wet, have a deepsleep. Actigraphy is a device which is including the motion-sensitive microsensors thatmeasures sleep-wake cycle. It has been developed as an alternative to Polysomnography andits prevalence has increased in recent years to provide ease of use.The aim of this study is to expose the sleep and life disorders seen in patients withmonosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis, with the analysis of both subjective and actigraphic.40 monosymptomatic enuretic patients who refered to polyclinic of PediatricNephrology , Celal Bayar University School of Medicine study and 20 healty childrenwithout any systemic complaints and had the similar age group, were admitted to our study. All children in the study 'KINDL' quality of life questionnaire were performed. 'Physical well-being' and 'Emotional Well-Being' found no significant difference in parameters. However,'self-esteem', 'family', 'school' and 'friends' relationships enuretic children were significantlylower. Sleep parameters in these patients were compared with the control group. Pittsburghsleep quality index, one of the subjective tests, was found as statistically significantly lower inthe enuretic patient group. The actigraphyic sleep parameters that `Actual Wake Time? , `Number of Nap? and`Fragmentation Index? were found significantly higher in monosymptomaticenuretic children compared to healty children in the same age group. The actigraphyic sleepparameters that `Actual Sleep Time? and `Sleep Efficiency? were found significantly lowerin enuretic children.`Total activation score? parameter, there was no significant difference between the two groups. The results of this study; monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis has a negative impacton the quality of sleep and causes sleep disorders. Enuresis nocturna affects the quality of thesleep and this situtaion is shown by non-invasive method ,actigraphy.
