Abstract (EN)

The concept of adolescent and child are two concepts that we encounter in every moment of our lives. Children are beings who need love and respect as well as their basic needs. The concept of "child" is defined and interpreted in different ways for each society. While children were accepted as sinful in line with the ideas prevailing in Western countries during the Middle Ages, children are considered innocent in our country and in Eastern countries due to the influence of Islam. Negative and traumatic events experienced by children in their early childhood cause various problems in their later years. Especially in neglected and abused children, the effect of the trauma continues in the long term. In addition to mental conditions such as suicidal tendency and depression, it is common for children who experience such an experience to have a tendency to crime. For this reason, within the scope of this thesis study, the relationship between adolescents' childhood psychological traumas and their perceived mother and father attitudes and self-perceptions was examined. The first part of the study deals with childhood and childhood traumas. Then, the concept of adolescence and information about the adolescence period are given. In this section, the stages of adolescence, the changes experienced during adolescence and peer bullying are discussed and the concept of self-perception is examined. Scanning model was used in this study. For the purpose of the research, Childhood Traumas Scale (CTS), Parent Attitude Scale (APTS), and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSS) were used. A total of 426 participants, 202 women and 224 men, participated in the research. As a result of the research, a significant relationship was found between Childhood Trauma Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale.
