Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between belief in a just world and religiosity in adolescents. For this purpose, a questionnaire form consisting of Belief in a Just World and Piety Scale was applied to 428 individuals between the ages of 14-18 living in Gaziantep. The obtained data were organized as a statistical data set and analyzed with SPSS 19 statistical package program. According to the findings obtained from the research, it has been observed that there are different relationships between the religiosity and belief in a just world of the individuals constituting the sample of the research and demographic variables. In addition, significant relationships were found between the dimensions of religiosity and belief in a just world according to the results of correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the research, when the relationship between the sub-dimensions of belief in a just world and religiosity was examined, it was found that personal belief in a just world and general belief in a just world had a weak and significant relationship with religiosity. It has been determined that the dimensions of faith and emotion, which are among the sub-dimensions of religiosity, do not have a significant effect on belief in a just world, but the dimensions of influence and worship have significant effects. Keywords: Adolescence, Just World Belief, Personal Just World Belief, General Just World Belief, Religiosity
