Abstract (EN)
The subject of this study is examination of the supernormal powers in the tales in "Erzurum Halk Masalları" compiled by Bilge Seyidoglu in terms of Turkic mythology, old Turkic beliefs and Tengrism. After studying the supernormal powers and events, the stable and dynamic elements in the acts of the characters in the tales has been demonstrated based on Propp's structuralist theory. There are seventy-two tales in Erzurum Halk Masalları; however in this study, only the texts that can be included in supernormal tales have been examined and the texts having other variations have been excluded. The most important reason why this subject has been preferred is to examine these tales systematically, contributing to the former studies in this field. In this way, it is aimed that this study will lead the latter studies on the tales. Key Words: Tale, Erzurum Tales, Supernormal Powers in Tales
