Old Turkish 'bilge' consept

The word wise has been used in all periods of Turkish language history. The word wise has led to the expansion and diversification of its meaning as of the Köktürk period. Being wise has sometimes been an indispensable quality, and sometimes it has been used as a special name. The word wise has been conceptualized by gaining new features throughout the history of the Turkish language. Our main aim is to deal with the historical change of the word wise in the works of the Old Turkish period and to show the areas where it is used. The word wise was scanned in the works in Köktürk, Uyghur and Karahanlı Turkish in these periods. Kultigin, Bilge Kağan and Tonyukuk inscriptions from the Köktürk period, Altun Yaruk, Kuanşi İm Pusar, The Good and Bad Prince Story from the Uyghur period, Old Turkish Poetry from the studies conducted in the Uyghur period, Turkısche Turfan Text V-VIII. Old Uyghur Poems in Terms of Semantics (2019) The works of Kutadgu Bilig, Atebetü'l Hakāyık, Dîvānu Lugāti't Türk and First Qur'an Translation in Karahanlı Turkish belong to the Karahanlı period were used. Information is given about Old Turkish and the works belong to these periods. In the first period, information about the origin of the word Bilge, in the second period, semantics, semantic field, concept field, conceptualization, vocabulary, context, general information, the third period includes the analysis part. The place of the word wise in Turkish, its importance, usage patterns, words in which it is a concept area and frequency of use have been determined. The numerical data of the result obtained as a result of the scanning were determined. In the conclusion period, an evaluation was made about all the data that emerged.
