Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine whether the group guidance program on the basis of Rational Emotional Education has an impact on the interpersonal problem solving skills of the students attending the seventh grade or not. For this purpose, the study was formed in the quasi-experimental model and the study group was designed by the appropriate and criterion sampling method. In selecting the students who made up the research group, the volunteers and the evaluation made through "Problem Solving Inventory" which was developed by Heppner and Peterson (1982), and adapted to Turkish by Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993) were taken into consideration. The study was conducted between the experimental group consisting of 12 students in 3 groups and the control group consisting of 36 people. Rational Emotional Education program was applied to the experimental group. No program was applied to the control group. In the analysis of the data, Paired Sample t Test and Independent Sample t Test were used. As a result of the study, it was observed that the group guidance program on the basis of Rational Emotional Education was an effective method to increase interpersonal problem solving skills of secondary school students.
