Abstract (EN)
Architectural designs that include an orientation towards nature distract the designer from randomness and make him realize his responsibility towards nature. At the same time, designs in harmony with nature provide gains for nature and reduce the damage caused by the building sector to the environment. In this direction, it is thought that the basic principles of Diyarbakır traditional houses, which are in harmony with ecology, should be taken as a reference in terms of the data obtained as a result of structural analysis to set an example for today's residences. Although today's technological developments have provided many advantages, they have also led to an increase in structures disconnected from nature. The increase in structures that do not harmonize with nature has led to the emergence of many environmental problems today. In this study, it is emphasized that the principles obtained as a result of the structural analysis of Diyarbakır traditional houses should be proposed as a model for today's contemporary housing production. In this study; the generative design approach, which is formed with the contribution of computational sciences, is examined. At this point, the use of Lindenmayer Systems, a generative algorithm, in the architectural design process and its relationship with sustainability are discussed. Buildings, which are the reflections of nature-human interaction in architecture, are evaluated in terms of Lindenmayer Systems. By using Lindenmayer systems, which are among the productive systems, it will be possible to create alternative designs that develop more harmoniously with nature based on sustainability. In the study, a model proposal was prepared based on the analysis of traditional Diyarbakır houses and contemporary residences. In this analysis; the examined plan typologies were recoded with the Lindenmayer program based on the building orientation parameter. Through the data obtained, ideal housing typologies that are compatible with the climate and traditional architecture of Diyarbakır city were produced. Floor plans that can appeal to different users were prepared using the ideal typologies produced. A building model was proposed by systematically combining different floor plans.
