Abstract (EN)
The main aim of this study is to determine the relationship between illustration and text in children's books and to examine the features of the books in terms of graphic design principles. Text and illustrations enhance the impact of narratives. Perhaps images convey something that words cannot express as effectively. The images provide information that allows us to reinterpret the meanings of words. The visuals provide information that gives us the opportunity to reinterpret the meanings of words. Like a literary text, a creative image is ambiguous and has hidden components to the extent that the reader can interpret using their imagination. The illustrator uses these elements to encourage the viewer to think and reflect. The text not only interprets word by word but also visualizes all its elements by leaving room for the imagination and thoughts of the target audience. Generally, utilizing imaginary elements can remarkably influence the meanings and aesthetics of literary and visual works. Children are introduced to artistic sensitivity through visual and linguistic stimuli starting from early childhood. Introducing the tool known as a book into the lives of children not only allows them to perceive the aesthetic language of color and line but also enables them to sense the beauty of expressive language in their native tongue. This process implements the formation of natural life resources for the child's development and transforms into book-child interaction. The aesthetic features of books also impact the development of children. The most significant literary-educational function of books, especially considering the stages of evolution, is to teach children about life and human reality. ( Sever, 2019)
