Evaluation of high school of fine arts "Qanon teaching program" and probosal for draft teaching program

This research aims to examine the "Instrument Education Qanun Teaching Curriculum" in force in Fine Arts High Schools and to prepare a "draft curriculum proposal" in line with the identified needs. The examinations on the current qanun curriculum were carried out with the participation of field experts and qanun educators working at Fine Arts High Schools. The current curriculum was evaluated in detail in terms of the content, target behaviors, learning-teaching situations and the materials that were determined as a result of the existing curriculum, in terms of content, target behaviors, learning-teaching situations, and materials. The fact that a long time has been devoted to these cognitive issues, the acquisitions related to basic skills are not clear and understandable, the transition to direct work, usul training and maqam training without allocating enough time to basic skills, the teaching of the mandal subject, which requires practice, is only dealt with at the cognitive level without any practical gains, there are not enough applications related to ornament techniques, the outcome statements are not clear and understandable, and the curriculum does not have the continuation of units, topics and complementary qualities. As a result of the examinations, it was concluded that the current curriculum does not have sufficient qualifications for qanun education. After this stage, a "draft curriculum proposal" suitable for the 9th grade of Fine Arts High School was prepared in line with the emerging needs and expert opinions. In the research, quantitative and qualitative data were collected using the exploratory mixed design method. In the qualitative dimension of the research, the action research method was used, and in the quantitative dimension, the scanning method was used. Content analysis and descriptive analysis in the interpretation of quantitative data obtained within the scope of the research; Statistical analysis, Mann Whitney U test and Kolmogorov Smirnov test were used in the interpretation of qualitative data. The "draft curriculum proposal" prepared within the scope of the research was subjected to experimental study using the pretest-posttest control group experimental model. Experimental and control groups consist of 9th grade students of Fine Arts High School. The data obtained in the experimental process were analyzed and the hypotheses of the research were confirmed. With the implementation of the "draft curriculum proposal" that emerged as a result of this research, students are expected to be more effective and successful in instrument education. Within the scope of the research, positive results were obtained for the draft curriculum proposal developed with the participation of experts and GSL qanun educators and the solution of the said problems. In this process, it was determined that the students in the experimental group showed a better improvement than the students in the control group in the application of mızrap combinations. In addition, it was determined that the experimental group students were more successful than the control group students in the application of ornament techniques, the use of mandal, the use of fingers, and the maqam and usul training. In this context, it was concluded that the draft curriculum proposal was successful in realizing an effective and functional qanun education in line with the data obtained from the experimental stage of the research.
