Abstract (EN)

In this study, which covers the Haçlı Lake, which is located within the borders of the province of Muş in the Eastern Anatolia region, the physical geographical features of the Haçlı Lake and its immediate surroundings are tried to be explained. In this context, geology, geomorphology, hydrography, climate, soil, vegetation and wetland characteristics of the region are emphasized. The physical geographical features of the region were evaluated based on the findings obtained from field studies and some reports of the area. Various maps, profiles, climate graphics, tables and statistical data have been used to support the put forward judgments. In the light of the data obtained throughout the study, it was aimed to determine the factors affecting the formation and development of the region. In this context, the formation phases of the area where the Haçlı Lake is located and the geographical effects of the lake in the region are also included. Geomorphological units in the immediate vicinity of the Haçlı Lake are expressed, and the hydrography, climate, vegetation, soil types and wetland characteristics of the area are mentioned. Research carried out within the framework of the study showed that the region is geographically important and has traces of the structural development of the Eastern Anatolia region in particular. The presence of rock structures from many periods in the geological sense in the region also reveals the structural importance of the region. Again, it has been seen that the effect of neotectonism is quite evident in the field subject to the research. In the studied area, strike-slip faults, volcanism developed from the opening cracks and basin formations between these areas are encountered. This situation can be shown as evidence that the geomorphological structure of the research area is directly affected by the compression tectonics in Eastern Anatolia. Key Words: Eastern Anatolia Region, 'Haçlı' Lake, 'Bilican' Mountain, 'Bulanık' Basin, 'Kazan' Plain, Geomorphology, Topography.
