Abstract (EN)

In Harezmshahs, which is one of the greatest states that Turks have ever founded, the term "Emir" was a rank equivalent to commander and military officer."Emir" possessed as many ranks as the number of soldiers he had. There was always an "Emir" in charge of each warrior or non-warrior class.Achieved at the end of an arduous process, the Emirate position had a reputable status. However, there were occasional exceptions and nepotism was seen in some cases. Celaleddin Harezmshah aimed to make an alliance with Turkey Seljuk Empire against the Mongols, the destructive force in the East, but with the tension between the states strained, Yassı-Çimen war broke out.Having lost the war, Claleddin Harezmshah was murdered by a clan chief and thus the "Emirs" who came to Anatolia with Celalleddin remained without a leader. As the Emirs from Harezm were involved in looting and plunder, Alaeddin Keykubad persuaded them to be subjects of Turkey Seljuk Empire. The Emirs who settled land that Sultan gave recovered quickly and engaged in beneficial service to the Empire until the death of Alaeddin Keykubad.Although they wanted İzzeddin Keykavus to ascend to the throne,in line with the promise they made, they fled fearing the aftermath of Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev taking the control. However, the effects of Harezms on Anatolia carried on. Keywords:Turkey Seljuk State, Harezm, Emir
