Along with the rapid development of technology and the developments in the digital world, the use of social media by people is progressing rapidly. Patients and their relatives are starting to use social media networks more actively in hospital preferences and make a preference with current information flow. In this research, the level of social media usage in preference of hospitals by patients and their relatives examines which social media networks are used more intensively, internet usage purposes, which social media platforms are actively using health services over social media and the satisfaction and dissatisfaction after service using. The survey was conducted for residents of Istanbul. The data were analyzed over 200 questionnaires. As a result of the research; 92.5% of the participants stated that they use the internet actively. It has been determined that 56.5% of the most intensive communication tools use internet communication. The distribution of age groups differs in the use of social media networks. It is seen that individuals between the ages of 31-40 use Facebook and the group of 25-30 years old prefer Instagram by weight. Woman participants seem to have a higher rate of follow-up of health services in social media. 55.0% of the participants stated that they were reviewing the public videos of the hospitals in the social media, and they trusted 59.0% the information which Hospitals shared in the social media .Individuals participating in the research expressed 89.5% satisfaction and dissatisfaction about hospital services with their environment. But only 55% of all participants shared their comments on social media in different platforms with other social media users.
