Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to determine the effects of error management culture and work engagement behaviors on organizational creativity. The sample group of the research consists of 747 teachers working in primary and secondary schools in 5 educational regions in Elazig province center in 2018-2019 academic year. The mixed method, in which quantitative and qualitative designs are used together, was used in the research. Sequential Explanatory Correlational Study is used in the quantitative design. For the Correlational study, "Error Management Culture" scale was developed in line with the scale development steps. After exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes, the scales were accepted to be valid and reliable. Along with the developed scales, the validity and reability of "Work Angagement" and "Organizational Creativity" scales were verified by confirming factor analysis. In the qualitative design part of the research, a semi-structured interview form prepared with vignette technique was used to obtain data. The data were analyzed using content analysis. In the research, structural equation model and multiple regression analysis were conducted to measure the effectsof error management culture and work angagement behaviors of teachers on orhanizational creativity, correlation analysis was conducted to measure the relationship between these concepts. In the continuation of the research, mediation analysis was conducted considering error management culture as a mediating role in the effect of work angagements on organizational creativity. In addition, independent sample t-test, one-way anova analysis were performed. In the research, error management culture and work engagement behaviors have a significant relationship with organizational creativity. Error management culture and work engagement have a significant and positive effects on organizational creativity. In the mediation analysis, it was concluded that error management culture mediated partial and significantly in the effect of work engagement behaivours on organizational creativity. In the qualitative dimension of the study, it was found that teachers were competent in managing mistakes, shared mistakes, administrators gave positive responses to mistakes, the factors that attracted teachers to their jobs were the majority, teachers found their profession meaningful, teachers had individual creativity behaviors, and there were social and managerial creativity behaviors at school has been seen.
