Abstract (EN)

An educated individual is essentia lto a well-functioning society. Trained and skilled individuals who can carryout the tasks required in Professional environment are equally important. Corporations provide "in-service training" to enchance the skills of their employees. In addition, corporations try to keep the enthusiasm of their employees up through measures designed to boost their motivation. It is also observed that in-service training that enhances Professional skills does boost motivation. In this research, the impact of perception of in-service training has been scrutinized. A statistical sample of 148 people from a population of a corporation operating in civil air transportation sector has been used. Data has been extracted from this sample using Perceived Training Quality Index developed byClemenz (2005) and Success-Focused Motivation Index developed by Semerci (2009), and the resultant data has been analyzed using software named Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). In the analyses, various techniques such as frequency and percent analysis, Standard deviation, difference tests, one-way variance analysis, Tukey test, and t-test have been used. According to findings of the statistical analyses, perceived training quality does impact employees motivation. It is observed that only one demographic factor, income, shows correlation with perceived training quality while other demographic factors are not correlated. In analyses that measure the correlation of demographic factors with motivation, it is observed that motivation is significantly correlated with age, gender, years in profession, Professional title and the amount of Professional training taken. However, factors such as marital status and income are not found to correlate with motivation. Keywords: In-service training, motivation, training-motivation correlation, Success-Focused Motivation Index.
