The interpretation of Amthāl Al-Qur'ān in social tafsirs

ABSTRACT THE INTERPRETATİON Of AMTHĀL Al-QUR'ĀN İN SOCİAL TAFSİRS Representatives of the school of social exegesis sought to tackle the social problems of the contemporary era in the light of the Qur'an while approaching the Qur'ân from a new perspective. This school gave great attention to use a simple and fluent language while exegeting the Qur'an, which was sent to mankind as a guidance. Their primary focus in their exegesis is man and his guidance. The main goal of the Ecole is to provide solutions to the problems people encounter with and to guide them by highlighting the message of the Qur'an. While emphasizing the importance of the Qur'anic verses in guiding people, the school also draws attention with its unique approach to Qur'anic Parables. Regarding the relationship between the miracle of the Qur'ān and its literary style with rhetoric, one can see that the Qur'an, with its depth of meaning and power of expression, has presented the rhetorical techniques used in the oral literature and literary competitions of the Arabs in a superior way. Representational narration, which has an essential place in rhetoric, is supported by examples given to convey the meaning of a subject more effectively to the interlocutor, thus ensuring a more accurate understanding of the subject. It can thus be said that representational narration in the Qur'an is of great importance in terms of leading people to the path of guidance. Hence, it is believed that the comments of this school while exegeting the verses containing representational narration have a great role in explaining the path of guidance to the people. It is seen that the interpretations provided by the writers of social exegesis based on their rational approach to the Qur'an differ from other schools of tafsir. In this regard, it can be said that the school's emphasis on guidance is more evident in the Qur'anic Parables and thus the message of guidance in the Qur'an is conveyed directly to the society.
