Abstract (EN)

In this study, which deals with Ikrima Mevla Ibn Abbas, who is one of the important hadith narrators of the Tabi'in period, the life of Ikrima, the period in which he lived, his scientific personality, his position in the hadith narration, as well as the positive and negative aspects of him are emphasized. Our aim in this study is to reveal the position of Ikrima in the hadith narration. Abdullah b. Ikrima, who was the most distinguished student of Abbas, met 200 Companions during his lifetime and benefited from many of them. For this reason, it has become one of the most frequently referenced narrators in basic Islamic fields such as Hadith, Tafsir, Recitation, Fiqh and Siyer. By being the narrator of more than 500 narrations only in Kutub-i Sitte, he served as a bridge between the Companions and the Tabi'un. The fact that he trained a large number of students made him a person whose name and reputation are known in the Islamic geography. On the other hand, lie being Kharijite and receiving gifts from Ümerâ has been criticized by some hadith narrators. In our study, while considering these points where İkrime was criticized separately, we revealed the main reasons for the criticism by collecting information from the first sources. In the light of the information we have obtained, we have determined that the criticisms about the kizb made against Ikrima are not appropriate, and that it is not appropriate to evaluate him as an Kharijite because he used some expressions reminiscent of Kharijite. On the other hand, we could not find any finding that expresses the misconduct of the criticisms made at the point of receiving gifts from Ümera.
