m ABSTRACT Problems Of Primary Education Supervisors About Their Guidance Mission Gaziantep and Adıyaman Cases TASAR, H.Hüseyin Master's Thesis, Educational Sciences Supervisor : Prof.Dr. Hikmet Y.CELKAN July,2000,114 pages This research has been made to reveal the problems which have been faced by primary education supervisors affiliated to the National Education, Provin-cial drectorates of Gaziantep and Adıyaman. For that purpose 65 primary education supervisors and vice-supervisors were applied a survey. Two questionnaire forms were excluded from evaluation due to improper filling. The sumof 63 primary edu-cation supervisors and vice-supervisors, whose surveys were evaluated, consists of 15.8 % (10) women and 84.2 % (53) men. Data of the research is limited to the information gathered from the statements given by primaryeducation supervisors. Kİ square test has been used for the analysis of the collected data,percentage has also been considered in the analysis stage. The following hypotheses were tested to seek differences between the opinions of the two groups no significant differences have been found; 1-They worked under inconvenient conditions, but they are still produc-tive in guidance 2-Their responsibilities weigh far beyond their authority, which leads to a decrease in productivity in guidance. 3 -They have a heavy work burden and this burden has a negative impact on guidance. 4- Their investigation role has affected their guidance role in a negative way. But, their opinions have differed significantly from each other's on the hypothesis that; 5- They ignore the ethical norms during work and the hypothesis has been refused.
