Evaluation of the service quality of the activities organized within the scope of İstanbul Youth Games by the teachers of the participating schools

In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the service quality of the events organized within the scope of the Istanbul Youth Games by the teachers of the schools participating in the said organization. In this direction, it was aimed to examine the level of evaluations of the teachers of the schools participating in the events organized within the scope of the Istanbul Youth Games regarding the service quality of the organization and whether these evaluations differ significantly according to the demographic characteristics of the teachers. The sample of this descriptive study consisted of a total of 292 volunteer participants selected among the teachers who participated in the Istanbul Youth Games using convenience sampling and criterion sampling methods. Research data were collected using a questionnaire form containing demographic questions and the SERVQUAL scale. SPSS 26.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data obtained in the research. As a result of the descriptive statistical analyses performed in the study, it was determined that the teachers of the schools participating in the Istanbul Youth Games generally evaluated the service quality of the organization at a moderate level. It was observed that the evaluation of the service quality of the organization was the lowest in the physical features dimension and the highest in the empathy dimension. On the other hand, as a result of the t-test and ANOVA analyses performed in the study, it was determined that the service quality evaluations of the teachers differed significantly in the trust dimension according to their gender. Accordingly, female teachers' evaluations of the trust dimension are more positive than male teachers. On the other hand, it was observed that there was no significant difference in teachers' service quality evaluations in terms of other demographic variables such as age, branch, seniority, administrative duty status, past participation status, and the category they participated in.
