Abstract (EN)
Leadership is one of the major research topics of social sciences and has been arousing more interest by each passing day. The political leadership has an important place in the field of leadership. Political leaders, throughout history, has dragged the human community behind them, they printed their names in history sometimes with good and sometimes with bad reputation. Political leadership is main theme of this study. Muhammad (SAW) is the person we review in the framework of political leadership. Muhammad (SAW) showed exemplary political leadership approach with his outstanding leadership skills during 11 years of presidency. In the first chapter of the study, leadership and political leadership concepts were explained and related theories were mentioned. In the second chapter, examples of effective political leaders in world history were given. Finally, in the third chapter, Muhammad (SAW) and his environment in which he lived was described briefly and his political leadership practices were examined.
