A practical research on work satisfaction of the personnel working as administrative staff in Karadeniz Technical University.

Work satisfaction is taking pleasure in the business that any agent carry on. This research was carried out to search whether the personnel is satisfied of the employement or not and the frame of the research consists of the personnel working as administrative staff in Karadeniz Technical University. First of all, for doing research the permission was got from Karadeniz Technical University Rectorship and the questionnaire was condected to 250 personnel working in the main campus. The questionnaire consists of two parts as 4 of the 10 questions are demographical and the other 6 questions are informative. There are 20 questions on current satisfaction scale as well. The acquired data was analized by using SPSS 22 version statistical packet program. It was examined that there is not a significant difference between work satisfaction and demographic variance and it was seen that work pleasure of Karadeniz Technical University administrative staff is not differ by demographical features. It occured that Karadeniz Technical University administrative staff fells appreciation from working unit as 84%, presented social facilities as 55% and in terms of the directors of the instution as 54%. At the end of the research, it was seen that the administrative staff is satisfied with the occupation. However it is clear that the level of satisfaction is lower in terms of the presented social facilities and the directors of instution. Therefore, the directors' caring about the personnel and getting their opinions while making decision about them will be a demonstration of value and the work satisfaction level will increase. On the other hand, by offering more social facilities and giving opportunity to all the staff to access them equally will provide the working staff being much more satisfied. The working staff whose satisfaction level is high will provide quality service to the society by increasing instutional productivity.
