Abstract (EN)
Aim: In this study, we aimed to detect the level of TRPM, TRPV, TRPC gene expression of tumoral tissue and the association between all known prognostic factors such as; age, sex, disease stage, tumor localization, tumoral diameter, vascular invasion, perineural invasion, lymph node invasion and TRPM, TRPV, TRPC gene expression in colorectal carcinoma patients. Also, we want to evaluate if these gene expressions are prognostic factors, they can be used as a therapautical target. Methods: 93 patients diagnosed as colorectal carcinoma were evaluated retrospectively in our study. TRP gene expression level in mRNA level was obtained by using Real time PCR technic from parafinized both tumoral and normal tissues of 93 colorectal carcinoma patients. Results: By using Real-Time PCR datas, we detected lower expression mRNA levels of TRPV4, TRPM4, TRPV3, TRPC6, TRPV5 synthesis in tumoral tissues than in normal tissues of 93 colorectal carcinoma patients (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant relationship between other genes (p>0.05). There was no statistically significant relationship between prognostic factors and gene expression of tumoral tissue (p>0.05). Conclusions: In colorectal cancer tissues decreased level of TRPV4, TRPM4, TRPV3, TRPC6, TRPV5 gene expressions may be related to potential oncogenetic factors. We need further studies to supply our hypothesis.
