Approach to asbab al nuzul in the commentary of Mehmed Vehbi

The study that titled as "The Approach To Asbab al Nuzul in the Commentary of Mehmed Vehbi" handles Konyalı Mehmed Vehbi's approaches to sebeb-i nüzûl reports in a variety of way. Kur'ân-ı Kerîm, different comments on the Kur'ân-ı Kerîm and other literary works related to Asbab al Nuzul are used as reference books during the research. This thesis consists of an introduction and other two parts. In the introduction part, the research topic, aim of the paper, the information about Mehmed Vehbi's early life, scholarly statues and personality and works and methodology are clarified. In addition, under the heading of the concept and function of Ashab al Nuzul its definition, history, importance and the reference part is mentioned. In part 1, under the title "The Approach To Asbab al Nuzul in the Commentary of Mehmed Vehbi's" the words he used to present the reports, report usage principals, procedures to state report references and the references he pointed out for the reports, the way he used to present the reports, report attributes and presentation of reports in terms of verses are defined. In part 2, which is named as "Mehmed Vehbi's references and the ways he used to make use of Asbab al Nuzul reports", Mehmed Vehbi's references, scientists he addressed to the reports he used in his book and his way of presenting reports are described.
