Leadership and the effect supervision and decision-making on employee's performance and motivation

Abstract (EN)

In these days, general status characterized by environment and constant changes. Leadership is considered a priority of business sectors and companies. Leaders' effectiveness is a key determinant of the failure or success of an organization. Therefore, the concept of leadership has gained considerable attention by managers and researchers around the world. The review of leadership literatures reveals that existence of many definitions, methods and theories. This study argues that is our societies move toward a more democratic political system of our organizations, are moving toward employee involvement and participation. Consequently, vertical leadership styles (leader makes the final decision) such as transactional and transformational. The main of this study is to recognize problems with leadership and determine these problems by using real leadership. The analytical approach was adopted when describing and analyzing the change in the employee behavior. In addition, included identify of the role of the leader in dealing with employees. The approach leadership styles are used. Performance assessment and factors influencing it, its assessment process and ways to improve it. The practical side, the case study methodologies were used to: Sample survey method: Consider the relatively large size of society, and the time constraints were based on selection a random sample of the study, which includes leaders and employees in various institutions in Iraq and in the city of Gaziantep in Turkey. Method of the questionnaire: data were collected from 406 people had been requested to participate in the study. A questionnaire was designed which was used to collect the data from the participants of the study. Also A focus group was developed to extract data that was necessary for the study. The data collected was extrapolated in a table where it was easier to extract during its analysis, and was analyzed using SPSS. Some results in graphs and tables show that there is a statistically significant relationship between leadership in terms of supervision, participation in decision-making and the impact on behavior and performance of employees and their motivation. Through the use of the collected findings from of both comparative and action research studies, the most suitable leadership style of motivation, job satisfaction is recognized, and a set of rules for proper implementation of leadership is presented. Finally, the conclusion of research effort is presented together with some commendation and suggestions for future research. Key Words: Leadership, Effect, Performance, Motivation, SPSS.
