Lecoq pedagogy and reflections in Turkey

LECOQ PEDAGOGY AND REFLECTIONS IN TURKEY ABSTRACT One of the prior aim of this thesis is to contribute to the literature by examining Lecoq Pedagogy in the process of development of physical theater, which is a form of expression in which the body is more effective than the voice, and by creating a source in the field of physical theater. First of all, it is searched that the studies which are basis of physical theater on the name of Lecoq pedagogy and Reflections in Turkey. From the beginning of the art of acting by its physical way, it is informed that the studies and theorists who contributed to the physical theater. Lecoq's 2-year program of physical theater school has been researched. Components of the Lecoq pedagogy has explained and reflection that in Turkey, has described through an example play. In the following part of the study, the contents of the program were also mentioned in the Physical Theater and Comedy School, which has recently been named in our country and which has a physical theater education in the context of Lecoq pedagogy. In this way, it is stated that the contemporary theater has gained momentum by giving examples of national physical theater. Lecoq Pedagogy and its effects in our country are considered as a solution to the problem of the body in contemporary theater thought. The aim of this study is to provide a resource for those who work in this field.
