The evaluation of tourism education establishments by undergraduate degree tourism students

This study argues the hypothesis of ?the country origins (Iran-Türkiye) of undergraduate tourism students make meaningful differences on their satisfaction levels from their education establishments?. The situations of undergraduate level tourism education in Turkey and Iran have been determined. By literature review, a conceptual discussion of tourism education and training has been executed and the difficulties on the way of successful tourism education and training have been released. The evaluations of human resourses administrators about the questions on the forms from the aspects of variety management and discrimination have been obtained.The questionnaire conducted on the undergraduate level tourism students of Gazi University, Commerce and Tourism Education Faculty, Tourism Management Education Department in Turkey and Allame Tabatabai University, Faculty of Business, Tourism Management and Hotel Management Departments has collected data about their satisfaction levels from their education establishments.The finding of the research shows that there is a difference between the tourism education systems of the countries in related to their national education systems. It also shows that the satisfaction level of undergraduate tourism students of Gazi University is higher than the satisfaction level of undergraduate tourism students of Allame Tabatabai University from their education establishments. The country origins (Iran-Türkiye) of undergraduate tourism students make meaningful differences on their satisfaction levels from their education establishments. In spite of the fact that there is a difference on the satisfaction levels of students, the satisfaction level of Gazi University tourism students has not been at the required level. It has been determined that both of the countries have particular and common problems on the issue of tourism education.
