Özet (EN)

In this study, which focuses on the existence of hale and horn influences in terms of logistics sector in recruitment practices, human resources management and functions are handled with a holistic approach. In the science of the management of human resources, it is thought that all phenomena are related to each other. This is significant because it is figured out that the most difficult source of sustainability in an organization is a talented human resource. Hale and Horn effect is one of the mistakes that frequently made in the management of human resources. Hale effect is generally assessed as "positive" due to unusual success in a given context. On the other hand, horn effect is generally considered as "negative" because of unusual failure in one subject. This mistake usually arises due to the manager making an appraisal by looking at the general image of the employee or the applicant. Therefore, in the first chapter, what the management of human resources are and how they are developed has been primarily examined. Later, applications are mentioned relavent to this context. In the third chapter, halo and horn effects, which constitute the main theme of thesis, are evaluated in the context of human resources management practices and the problems and effects encountered in recruitment are emphasized. In the last chapter, the logistics sector was examined and information about employment practices in this sector was given and then a field research finding investigating the effect of halo and horn during the recruitment in the sector was
