Abstract (EN)
Worldwide, an estimated 185 million people have Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. This study was conducted on 100 patients with HCV 60 males and 40 females, and the control group was 50 males and females. It showed an increase in the spread of the virus in men more than women, with statistical significance P<0.01. In our study also showed an increase in prevalence in the age group from 31 to 45 years, and then the age group from 46 to 60 years in Dhi Qar. The study showed a statistical increase P<0.01 for WBC and LYM level. Current study also showed a statistically significant decrease of P<0.01 in NUTR and PLT levels in patients infected with hepatitis C virus. The level of IL-6 in the patients was significantly increased than that of the control group. We did not find statistically significant changes between male and female patients for WBC, LYM, NUTR, and IL-6.
