City phenomenon in modern art

From the first permanent settlement at 15th century, people from Mesopotamia and Egypt began their formations for protection, shelter and community. City phenomena got different meanings in different eras. In the first eras cities are constructed for protection as castles, by the time with the effects of modernisation city got whole other meaning. The most important aspect in the formation of modern cities, is the most current and effective marketing of the cities and living spaces that city offers. With the urban transformation, cities try to got attention of capital and movement of people. New city notion, cause an order of polarising people with industrialisation and urban transformation constructions. With the sensitiveness of a population scientist, wanted to got attention of audiences to distorted city with the paintings. In this graduate thesis, consequences of social insisting, upheaval and polarisation wanted to be analysed with the compare of art history examples. In this logic of transformation, selecting city as topic is dramatic however it is a current fact which contains the truth.
