Mutahhar b. Tahir al-Maqdisi and His Kalami/Theological Views

In this study, chapters concerning theology of Mutahhar b. Tahir al-Maqdisi's, a versatile author living in the fourth century of hijri calender, only book available to us titled as Kitabu'l-Bed' ve't-Târîh are analyzed and his theological/kalami views are presented. In the study, Maqdisi's relationship with Mu'tazila has been dwelled upon and whether his views fit into this sect has been evaluated. In the introduction, importance of the study, methodology the study adopts and sources used has been stated. The first part of the first chapter consisting of two parts draws a general framework of the author's life, works and the period he lived in. In the second part, Maqdisi's theological/kalami views have been analyzed in accordance with title order the theological/kalami books follow. In the conclusion chapter, a reading/interpretation and an evaluation reached to concerning Maqdisi's theological/kalami views and his relationship with the Mu'tazila have been done.
