Cults on the Olympus of Mysia

Mysia Olympos is located in the area of Orhaneli, Büyükorhan, Harmancık and Keles which are among the districts of Bursa. For many years the region has been a sacred place for the people. The mountain, which was considered the place of the gods in ancient times, attracted monks during the Christianity period and it has kept its importance until today. In this study, by using scientific research methods, subject such as archaeological works, coins and written works in the region, which gods and goddesses were worshipped in intensity, which local names they took and how they are depicted are examined. In addition, in the light of the archaeological finds and surface surveys found in the region, the sacred areas in the region were investigated and it was tried to find out which of these gods or goddesses were the main deities.
