Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationship between conformity and group behavior has been studied. Riot police who served in the branch to the Group compliance levels, including what factors influence behavior that would follow if they are to adapt to the group point to you what a change in behavior has been requested. The answer of this research questions is searched questionnaire which is implemented 98 police officers from Sivas Riot Department who was chosen with random sampling method. Due to the essence of policing team spirit, it is necessary to act with group rather than individual. The authority of the Constitution and laws have given police officers who perform their duties according to your personal thoughts and feelings during the mission must put to one side. But this "legal" requirement, in terms of the "sociological" they aren't kept from inner and outer groups' effects and routing. Moreover, in the light of professional experience, it must be said that the police are working with colleagues from the group compliance and the level of identification is quite high. In addition, in recent times, news about disproportionate force that especially riot police use and for this reason it will be important to review police group and conformity behavior. This is reached by seeking to reveal research results, individuals (police) act according to the norm group, when acting collectively, it reveals that members of the group is dominant.
