In the late Ottoman period Yemen riots effects on folk songs

This work analyses the effects of Yemen Revolts on Turkish society. Ottoman Empire who was a part of Alliance countries during the World War I, had to fight on different battlefronts at the same time. One of those battlefronts is Yemen-Hicaz that Ottaman Empire fought for protecting the Holy land. While Ottoman Empire was called as a "Sick Man" by the whole world and her land was being shared, she was stil trying to protect the Holy land. However, when, the World War I had finished and Ottoman Empire had been announced among the defeated countries, The Holy land was left behind. Morevover The British played a role in losing hopes in the idea of Pan-Islamism by provoking racist side of Arabs and supported the rebellion against the Empire. This study will lighten the sorrows and concerns of Anatolian people who composed songs for the soldiers gone to an unknown future in Yemen.
