Comparative analysis of financial development in private health insurance

In this study, Financial Development of Private Health Insurance in Turkey and the Premium Production acceleration gained between the years of 2003 – 2013, the overall effectiveness of the Turkish Insurance Sector and the effectiveness of the insurance market in the World and in European Union countries were analyzed in comparison. Research covers the Premium Production of Private Health Insurance Branch between Private Health Insurance and Private Insurance Branches in Turkey. Effect of the 2008 World Global Financial Crisis to the Insurance Sector in Turkey and in the World has been demonstrated by statistical data. Archive screening method was used while preparing the study. This study is limited by the effectiveness statistics of Premium Production of Private Health Insurance in Turkey between 2003 – 2013 years and the comparison of the World and European Insurance Sector official data and the researcher's review. Accordingly, it is determined that the Premium production activities of Private Health Insurance Branch showed an increase of acceleration from 2003 to 2013, however was below the World and European insurance sector data. Results of the study indicates that the development of the Health Insurance Sector in Turkey follows parallel trend with the World and Europe however, especially the effects of the global crisis on the Health Insurance Premium Production is lower in Turkey compared to the World and European Production.
