Organizational behavior in private sector organizations: the example of Erbil

Abstract (EN)

This study aims to understand and examine certain features of organizational behavior, group dynamics, organizational commitment, organizational culture, and organizational conflict in private organizations in Erbil. In addition, situations such as assistance and volunteer work in sociological context between manager, employee and worker will be discussed. This research aims to analyze how the communication between manager and employee and organizational behavior of employees affect situations such as productivity and organizational performance in private sector organizations in Erbil and how the ideal organizational behavior should be. In this context, a 38-question survey was conducted for employees in the private sector and institutions. During the implementation process, half of the questionnaire form was sent via e-mail to the employees of private companies and businesses in Erbil city. Employees and workers were asked questions such as gender, age, marital status, educational status, work experience, job satisfaction, and other environmental compliance and motivation. In addition, the questionnaire was distributed directly to the company and institution employees, and 150 employees in the company answered these surveys. After the questionnaire was applied to the research participants, the data were collected, and these data were analyzed using the SPSS program in a center specialized in data analysis (SOSDAT). In the light of the research findings, the following determinations were reached. A corporate and electronic working system is dominant in private companies in Erbil. The fact that the participants are young, educated, married, and V experienced creates positive effects in the organizational socialization process. This situation is important for the participants to adopt organizational culture, especially in the development and internalization of an innovative and creative approach. In terms of organizational behavior, employees overwork, low wages, short breaks, etc. and they remain silent to insecurity on working conditions. This situation contributes to the development of the adaptive personality structure within the company. Participants tend to see themselves as high in terms of work motivation and sufficient in terms of leadership. Despite these qualities, the participants adopt the organizational culture to deal with work pressure and other negativities.
