Pandemi sürecindeki ortaokul öğrencilerinin teknolojik cihaz kullanımının farklı sağlık değişkenleri üzerinden etkileri

This study was conducted to examine the Effects of Technological Device (Mobile Phone, Computer, Tablet, Television, Game Console) Use of Secondary School Students in the during Pandemic Process on Different Health Variables. The population of the research consists of 320 secondary school students. In addition, the sample of the study consists of 208 secondary school students who voluntarily agreed to answer this questionnaire during the 2020-2021 academic year. The students consist of students studying at a private school located in Beşiktaş district of Istanbul. The questionnaire includes socio-demographic variables as well as musculoskeletal pain scale (back, waist, neck, hand, wrist and shoulder), Eye health status, and technological average such as mobile phone, computer, tablet, television and game console regarding daily average sleep time. includes health problems in device use. This research is a quantitative research and a descriptive, cross-sectional study. Chi-square and t-test analyzes were used for the existence of the relationship between the dependent and independent variables used in the study. According to the findings obtained; Findings about the usage period, purpose and device ownership of technological devices have been determined. During the pandemic process, a significant finding was obtained on the variables of neck pain, hand pain, wrist pain and average sleep duration of mobile phone use. It was found that computer use has a significant relationship on hand pain, neck pain, back pain, waist pain, BMI and eye health problem variables. In addition, a significant difference was observed on the variables of back pain, neck pain, wrist pain, average sleep duration and BMI of television use. It was observed that there was a significant relationship with the variables of neck pain, waist pain and hand pain variables in tablet use. Finally, there were significant results on the finding of significance of game console use on back pain, waist pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and BMI variables.
