Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to study the adolescent?s loneliness levels who educate in different high schools and own broken and whole family in terms of gender, class level, academic success, close friend number, according to the level of satisfactionary among friends, and family?s relationships showing difference or not.Two hundered twenty six broken family?s students and two hundered twenty six whole family?s students who educate in public high schools which is tied to the Ministry of Education in Adana Seyhan 452 students participated. Personal information form was applied which was prepared by the researcher and UCLA Loneliness Scale which was adopted in Turkish in 1989 by Demir which was developed by Russel, Peplau and Cutrona (1980) was applied.Double factor variance analysis technique was used in order to determine the students loneliness levels which was indicated above in terms of showing differences or not in view of changeables, in the condition of the results being expressive Scheffe test was applied in order to determine the difference between the groups.According to the research result, in terms of students loneliness levels the students, whose academic success is high, has close friends more than nine, who have satisfied with the relationships with their friends and families was seen as a meaningful difference for students. No difference was found among the students loneliness levels not to gender and class level.Keywords: Loneliness, broken family, adolescence.
