Abstract (EN)

Because of the high success rate, the use of dental implants has become a common prosedure in dentistry, and a lot of implant systems have been developed. For long term success dental implants should be controlled routinely. With the use of clinical and radiologic procedures the patient must be under controll to prevent the probable problems in the early period of healing. The aim of this study was to evaluate relation between peri-implant crevicular fluid (PICF) IL-1ß levels and clinical parameters (proping pocket depth (PPD), modified plaque index (mPI), modified gingival index (mGI), modified sulcus bleeding index (mSBI) keratinized soft tissue index (KSTI), mobility (M)) and radiographic changes (alveolar bone loss rate (ABLR)). Because of this aim 40 invidual with deficient mandibular first molar were selected. 20 one stage dental implants (I. group) and 20 two stage dental implants (II. group) were placed in patients. All inviduals before load (BL) after load (AL) 3. and 6. month PPD, mPI, mGI, mSBI, KSTİ, M scores were recorded to determine their clinical status. In addition to these scores, PICF volumes were also recorded from the same sampling sites. PICF IL-1ß levels were determined by immulite 1000 method. ABLR were calculated by dental tomography. .I. group; ABLR and PPD showed significantly high depending on time (p<0.05). When clinical parameters, PICF IL-1ß levels and radiographic changes correlation were evaluated; AL 3. month mGI with IL-1ß, AL 6. month; mSBI with IL-1ß , PICF with IL-1ß, PPD with IL-1ß and mPI with ABLR correlatios were found (p<0.05). II. group; PICF volume and mSBI showed significantly high depending on time (p<0.05). When clinical parameters, PICF IL-1ß levels and radiographic changes correlation were evaluated; BL PICF with IL-1ß, KSTI ile ABLR, AL 3.month and AL 6. month PPD with IL-1ß correlatios were found (p<0.05). Only PPD was found significantly different between two groups. (p<0.05).The data of this study confirms that; one stage surgery procedure PPD is high than two stage surgery procedure. Also different surgery procedures can affect clinical, radiographic parameters and peri-implant tissue health.
