Abstract (EN)

Hormonal therapy receive new assignments in the adjuvants and metastatic disease and hence new drugs and approaches are in practice. The aromatase inhibitors have been widely incorpated into the adjuvant breast cancer care of postmenopausel women with oestrogen and /or progesterone receptor-positive breast cancer.Third-generation aromatase inhibitors play a key role in the adjuvant treatment of post-menopausal hormone receptor-positive breast cancer patients. Als are used in the treatment of early and advanced (metastatic) breast cancer in postmenopausal women as an adjuvant therapy. While the use of aromatase inhibitors in increased in post menopausal treatment setting, tamoxifen remains the drug of choice for premenopausal women.AI therapy is associated with a novel musculoskelated side effect consisting of an arthralgia syndrome. Such symptoms are quite prevalent and appear more commonly with AI use. The low levels of estrogen is achieved with aromatse inhibition. Estrogen deficiency causes bone loss, which in turn contributes to arthralgia. Estrogen withdrawal play a role in mechanism of arthralgia.In thesis, it was recorded causes of arthralgia and myalgia in women with breast cancer. So the aim of this study was determining the musculoskeletal disorders of pre/post menopausal breast cancer patients with endocrine treatment. The purpose is that loss of function that is cause of arthralgia and myalgia is measured both left and right hand with hand dynamometer in the breast cancer patients who right and left hand were identified in breast cancer patiens with cancer patients apart from breast cancer. Result were interpreted by SPSS statistical package.Patients with breast cancer have different causes that especially common loss of locomotor function in upper extremites. Swelling of arms, used on drugs and treatment (surgery, RT, KT) is the most important of which.Often surgery and radiotherapy (RT) perform the loss of motor function on the same side with breast cancer, but AI and chemotherapy are made loss of function of both upper extremities. In this study, it has been observed quatitative assesment of motor function in breast cancer women with endocrine therapy and possible causes were investigated.Grip strength was measured by Saehan hydraulic hand dynamometer. A mean of three attempts was calculated, with a 15 second rest in between each of three contractions and these values were averaged. When hand grip strength values compared to the values of the normative power of hand grip as a result:When it compared with normative data, in the patients underwent right mastectomy and use of AI, the power loss of right hand grip strength was 53,1%, on the other hand it was 51,0%. In the patients underwent left mastectomy the power loss of left hand grip strength was 48,3%, on the other hand it was 65,5%. In the upper extremity total loss of right hand grip strength was 57.5 % (p=0.005) and total loss of left hand grip strength was 79.6 % (p=0.245).In breast cancer women underwent right mastectomy and don?t use AI, the power loss of right and left hand grip strength were 43,8%. In the patients underwent left mastectomy the power loss of left and other hand grip strength were 53,8%. In the upper extremity total loss of right and left hand grip strength were 46,7%.In the upper extremity total loss of right hand grip strength apart from breast cancer patients in cancer patients was 52,5% (p=0.36) and total loss of left hand grip strength was 47.5 % (p=0.85).
